Hi there, love the theme – and almost got it as I want it (still a few more things to do). My site is… www.magic-review.co.uk But can you help me with one little thing… On the main index page I have the categories at the bottom appearing but they are missing the category title and the ‘more in theatres’ link that you have in your demo? Any ideas why this is missing? Has the index.php got something missing on my site? Any help would be most appreciated. Otherwise great design – and perfect for what I need. All the best, Justin.

PS – On another note – if anyone has managed to get drop down menus working (sub categories) then I would love to work it out on my site (I know this is not a built in feature on the template).

Any update on the 2.9 compatibility issue? I really like this theme and would like to purchase it, but I’m scared it has to many unresolved issues… any updates would be great.

I wanted to tell you how much I love your personal webpage/portfolio.

The colors, the layout – pretty much everything about it is awesome. (The colors, especially, are truly extraordinary and look absolutely amazing together!).

You should really consider designing a theme based on it and submitting it here. I know I’d buy it immediately! And I think many others would as well.

I am unable to change the main top menu, however. You can see that I could change the titles of the menu / pages on my site:

But for some reason I can’t change the main page. I want to change ‘Portfolio’ to ‘Examples’ – etc.

How / where do I do that?

I recently purchased your theme and started using it on my web-site

First of all, I would like to thank you for all the time and effort you put designing this theme. I found it very convenient to use and easy to customize.

If you are interested I suggest you to consider the following enhancements for the next versions.

• Middle widget – Favorite posts (based on Wordpress Stats plugin)
• Side bar – Google Adsense widget
• Side bar – An optional ad image for a Calendar widget (as the calendar table takes only a half of the space available)
• indexshowcase.php – truncate function uses post contents. I suggest using post excerpt first, and if it’s not available – truncate the post contents
• top bar menu (“superfish” JavaScript). Somehow dropdown menus were appearing under certain images. I don’t know if it’s a best way to fix, I changed CSS for images and dropdowns by adding z-order style attributes
• single.php * I added Previous / Next Post links (used previous_post_link/next_post_link functions) * I added “Posted in categories” info (used the_category function) * I added “Edit entry” functionality for the author, which is a convenient shortcut (used edit_post_link(‘Edit this entry’,’’,’‘); function) * I added Related posts section (used another plugin)

I also have 2 problems and I would really appreciate if you could advise me on fixing them.

1) Blog description text (“An engineering approach…”). Somehow certain letters (“g”, “p”) are truncated from the bottom. and it really doesn’t look good. Could you please specify where and what should I change to fix that?

2) Missing resources. I did a simple performance test of the theme and it reported a couple of missing files: - -

How do I remove shortcodes from the excerpt showing on archive and search result pages? Some of my posts have images at the top of the post, and the Caption shortcode is appearing.

I’ve tried entering the following into the functions.php

function remove_shortcode_from_index($content) {
  if ( is_home() ) {
    $content = strip_shortcodes( $content );
  }
  return $content;
}
add_filter('the_content', 'strip_shortcodes');

I’ve tried guessing and changing the is_home to is_index and is_search, but neither worked.

Can you help? Thanks.

I purchased this theme a while back and I am finally using it. I am having issues displaying the thumb image for all blog posts. Currently it displays the default bgthumb.png in the post i added the custom field thumb and the image link and when I go to see the post the default image disappears but my new image does not appear to show. Im not sure what is going on can you offer any help.

I have the exact same problem as communi_cat with the accordion menus.

I was exploring settings, and I think I selected Post Page under:

Settings > Reading > Post Page

Now my accordion menus won’t close on my opening page.

On other pages, all seems well. But not on the opening page.

I’ve tried many permutations of creating new opening pages, and changing the templates of these, but nothing can get my menus to close down.

Help!

I recently purchased this theme and I could not be happier. From the moment I opened the dashboard, it was clear that the interface was obvious and easy to use. I cannot express that strongly enough, the back end of this Wordpress theme (as someone who as both used and developed many) is so brilliantly intuitive that set up is a breeze.

The front end of the Scrollable WordPress theme is simple and really well crafted. David Woolf demonstrated a great mind for design, not only for pure ascetics but through functionality that is so user friendly it feels second nature. Everything worked well in my tests from Firefox, Chrome, Iphone, Opera and IE.

The one time I had any issue with customizing the website (due more to my own issues with PhP than with the theme), David answered within hours and could not have more helpful or more amiable.

The only suggestions I would make after a complete setup is an automated photo uploader, blog capability and lastly the ability to add a description to each of the images either as a footer or a second box in fancybox image viewer.

First let me say I love this theme. I rarely find themes designed above the fold that work without looking busy and crammed. Love it!!!!

the only issue I am having really is the social network. I added my icons and links and nothing is showing. I thought maybe because of the size of the icons, but I tried several different sizes and still nothing. Any known issues?

1. Our client wants to have the quotes to show-up with the feature photos too.. You know those where you have a layer of text infront of the photos?... without linking it to any respective post or pages.. S3slider seemed to be the one to replace your feature photos right? Where should I edit safety?

2. I had to mode and expand your viewable container from 540 to 640 as client wants to show more text. But you have short codes for 1/3, 1/2 where do I change those? to have them align according to new profile right size? .profilewrap { width: 640px; } .profileleft { width: 140px; float:left; }
