I think I found the problem. So as it turns out, the short version of php open tags (<?) has been deprecated in PHP 5 .3 (!?), and the solution was to run a few searches to replace <? with <?php in the themes php files. After grinding away with an exact string matching tool I found a tool which automates the conversion of the short style tags to the full open tags using regular expressions Be sure to do this on all of the theme’s php files and this should work perfectly with the latest version of Wordpress (2.9.2). Good luck!

Hello. I haven’t seen this explicitly answered so I better ask… does your them support the new menu options in WordPress 3.0? I’d like to move away from the intrinsic menu setup into the new WP 3 .0 menu system.

Hi, Support I do not want to use WordPress? or say my hosting company do not permit Third Party Apps on their server? Can I still use this template as a normal web template? Encoporate PHP and also, how does the banner at the top work? Can I simply just update the jpeg image and the top banner automatically update? Does the content boxes automatically stretch depending on the amount of contents on them?

Quick question. When adding pages, they are showing up twice in the top navigation. If I add them to the “Hide Top Navigation Pages” it removes one of the instances. What should be done if we want to remove the page completely? Is there some sort of workaround to correct this issue?

Yesterday i bought and installed this great theme, i read that it needs GD-library in order to work. At first this wasn’t the case so I contacted my hoster.

This is what he sent me:

I am implementing and configuring your theme for a client, but I’m having some small problems that still could not solve even consulting the manual repeatedly updated the theme. So I’d like you to help me with these problems I am 4. Below is a description of the problem:

(1) The first problem is with the images of the homepage, which have a transition effect, I would say “slideshow”. I can not insert images, text / description and link in “slideshow” as is the statement of the theme.

(2) The second problem is related to area configuration “Portfolio.” My client needs to publish the photographs he has, I created the category “Portfolio” as a mother, and then created two more categories as the son of Portfolio (“Landscape” and “People”). But I still can not publish.

(3) In my country (“Brazil”), in writing, it uses “accents”, ie special characters that are supported by subject produced under the standard UTF -8, but with other standards such as “ISO __, “there are problems in the accentuation of words. How to solve?

(4) The fourth and final problem is when I access the pages created. In the center of the page is accessed the page name, and below is a short description appears on the page being viewed. In demonstrating the theme “Spotlight” is shown this question.

But I need to know if you’re releasing a new version with the above corrections, as I’ll definitely need to have a proper Home page with some static content on what I do plus your widget for recent blog posts, then a services page and articles pages – with different kinds of widgets from the one you have. As soon as this is corrected, I’ll sure have it! It’s for my psychotherapy site and I need to have a blog in its own page (not home), and the rest just static pages – Home, About Me, My Approach, Services, Articles – somehow split by categories, each article opening in its individual page- and then some Links and Contact. Do you think this theme can work for this? Sorry for the long message, thanks for your help!

Hey there, What was at first a perfect install has gone somewhat awry. My featured slider is whacky—the photos and excerpt text are aligned far over to the left so that you can’t see the images at all, and can only see the last few characters of the excerpts as they rotate. I’ve noticed that sometimes the demos get skewed, too. Any idea what the problem is?

In my efforts to fix, I have upgraded to the newest Industry, wp 3.0; I have deleted categories and created new ones, deleted posts and images and uploaded/published new ones, and otherwise gone through all theme settings with a fine tooth comb. Help!

“I think the issue you’re seeing is in header.php around like 52… instead of <?php it is <? for the opening PHP tags, OK for most servers, not for all. I will send in an update for that but in the meantime, it’s a quick fix, just replace <? with <?php for those four lines (52, 53, 54, 55).”

It fixed the problem when the lightbox plugin is disabled only. When the lightbox plugin is on, the page broke under IE.
