Comment: I was a little confused that each gallery item (i.e. photo) is its own blog post. I.e. the gallery is assembled by looking at the subcategories of the category “Gallery” (or “Portfolio”). Is this correct? Seems quite cumbersome, I had hoped to be able to link / uploaded 10 images at a time, instead I need to post 10 individual posts. Or am I missing something? (and yes, I read your manual)

Question: on the front page is a box with “Recent Blog Posts”. No matter what I do to the categories, the box stays empty and static. Any ideas why this is? No hint of that in your document, ought to be automatic.

Hi Mondre, I’m very disappointed as you don’t get back to my via email and on the forum here. It’s been a week tomorrow. I still have the following problems/questions pending:

- I disabled magicquotes on php.ini but I still have escape characters showing up on my front page. Why? - I’ve set up an iPhone gallery but when I click on it both iPhone and Color pictures show up in the same slideshow. Why? Example: - In Blog, when you click on a post, I get the picture twice. Is anyone else having issues with the placement of images in a blog post? For example, I’ll add an image to my post and I want it to be center aligned. On the homepage it looks fine (center aligned) but on the posts page it switches to left aligned and the text comes in tight to the image and looks ugly! Any help would be much appreciated. I have re-installed the theme on my server to see if the problem still persists which it does. If you go to www.nicklenko.ca and then go to the portfolio section you’ll see the project tags, but not the descriptions? How can I get that to appear? If there is a way to manually input the text for that area I have no problem with that either. Thanks!

if anyone has the same problem as i do, where if the nav drop down menus work but the prettypicture lightbox thing doesn’t work in the gallery section, and where if the prettypicture lightbox thing does work in the gallery section but the nav drop down doesn’t work, then use this code for your header.php file and you will get BOTH to work:

I have everything working except I cannot find any documentation or help to number the images when using the “ceebox” gallery. I have implemented the gallery on one of my pages ( ) but if you go to this page and click on one of the images you will see that it shows “Item 1 of 1”. How do I make it so that it says “Item 1 of 3” and allows the user to click on the left and right icons to see the rest of the images on the page. Thank you for any help!

Loving this theme in the demo so I brought it. Only two things confuses me, how do I set the default view “content” to be in “Latest” instead of “Featured”?

And is there any tips on using my own logo? I know how your current logo works but I can’t seem to come up with anything to go with the black metallic finish. Just wanted to see if there’s any ideas you can give out, but this isn’t as important

I’m sorry i didn’t explain correctly. What I wanted is to be able to crop the image for thumbnails. The size of thumbnail would be the same as the default, but sometimes cropping is not enough to fit the whole logo. That’s why I need to crop and resize as well.

I have spent the past 5 hours trying to figure out how to download this theme onto my wordpress account, only to realize I need to spend money I don’t have.

I was wondering, like the sidebar on the right, is it possible to add a sidebar on the left below the navigation bar?

Furthermore, in order to have transparent areas on the website, I’m using the “opacity” property in the color style sheet. This is causing my entire website to, well, become transparent. I was going through the entire discussion and checked they are using an image as the background. I tried to do that, but my website doesn’t retain the transparency. have also used a background image instead of the opacity property, but when I tried to do that, i lost the ability to leave my navigation bar/content area rounded.

How am I able to get the transparency that has while maintaining the rounded corners?

I can’t seem to get the gallery to work!

In the theme options there is no “Pages in Gallery Style” option, but only a “Post Categories in Gallery Style.”

I also don’t seem to have a template-portfolio.php file.

Hi Jonathon, I have a problem but I am not sure if it’s related to wordpress or the theme. What happens is everything looks fine in the visual editor but when I hit publish it doesn’t use any of the formatting, and what it does use looks like crap.

For instance if I select I want the text to wrap around the right side of a picture it just puts it at the bottom totally ignoring the tags.

The only way to get it to work is to use real html in the page editor but that defeats the purpose of using wordpress.

Here is an example

The picture is supposed to be on the right and have a border and caption. The headings are messed up too.

I’m sorry, but I have had all sorts of problems trying to customize this theme. I’ve had to change the por::path and various other php calls to the proper Wordpress calls in order to correct the paths.

I’m currently having troubles with the featured posts. The navigation for previous and next posts is not working. I have two posts set up with the proper custom fields. I can not get the small nav buttons at the top to advance to the next post.

I have noticed on occasion the second post will show up first upon a refresh.

I have also verified this to be the same with a non modified (fresh theme install) version on my local test server.

Please advise …

I’m not happy at all with the time I have had to put into this.

I just learned the featured post does not work as I expected. After reviewing the preview here on Theme Forest I noticed the images were advancing but the post description to the right was staying the same.

Why have a featured post section if advancing the slider only changes the images and not the post as well ???

If it weren’t for the fact that I purchased this for a client, and they will be keeping the theme, I would be asking for my money back – something I do not do lightly, but I am highly disappointed in this theme.

Instead of having the “Portfolio” link can that be renamed whatever we want? For instance, something like “Departments” would be better for the site I’m helping a friend build for her home business/store. Then instead of each “Portfolio Item” entry it would have each department such as “Skating,” “Gymnastics” and “Dance.” So then on the “Department” link/page it would show each department mentioned above and on the homepage it would show those 3 items instead of portfolio items. So basically, just want to replace an actual portfolio with each department of her store.

1. The post galleries are not showed in Internet Explorer (just the text) 2. The blog pages, doesnВґt changes. (even I click on the page numbers at the bottom of the site it shows always the 1st page, so I canВґt see older posts)

Please send me the version of timthumb that does not compress the images. I try to optimise my images to be between 65kb and 100kb. I am sure this size is OK. A further reduction causes a lot of pixelation.

I really like your template, but I’m having a hard time trying to get it to work properly, I don’t understand what is wrong. Could you send me an archive with all files of the demo already configured, this way I can’t go wrong, please?

I installed XAMPP and I’m testing locally.

I did everything in this sequence: Install WordPress (3.0.1), fix the jquery.functions.js, install the theme, install Nextgengallery (1.6.2) and WP-Table Reloaded (1.8) and activate them, import the 2 example tables, but when I load the theme, it does not appear as in the demo, instead of the slideshow I see 3 separate images, if I click “Models” it says “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in …\wp-content\themes\carsdealer\page_models_list.php on line 68” but if I click “Models” > “Car model” it loads normally.

i have to go back to joomla! please get in touch with me this weekend.

For some reason, the Pang theme is inserting

tags within a textarea I have on my website. Check out my webpage – I did not include html in the textarea; these tags were inserted by the theme – not sure why?
