Hmm I’ve tested it out my side with 2 images and it works perfectly, maybe there was just a temporary server side issue with loading the images your side.

@futrsenator : That sounds strange however if your going to use 2 images, I would suggest just “doubling up” and putting image 1 in image slots 1 & 3 and image 2 in slots 2 & 4. This would make it seem like there are only two images still and load correctly. Obviously just a temporary work around solution but one that should suffice.

Hi, I’m having some trouble with the buttons in the main navigation.

The right-edge color does not match the rest of the button in Chrome, Safari, & Firefox for Mac. This does not appear to be an issue in IE and Chrome for Windows, but does happen in Firefox for windows. You can see an example here:

Also, if you hover over the left-edge of a button, the right-edge appears to be cut off as illustrated here:

Please let me know what can be done to fix these issues.

Thank you for getting back to us so soon. All of our photos are under 600 Kb per photo and they’re all Jpg as well, so we know that’s not the issue.

My partner tried to do what you said about “adding a overflow:hidden; to the css container via the css file you are using for the slider.” But he said it didn’t work and he wanted me to ask you where exactly do we put that new code?

Last case scenario, we will do what you suggested by re-downloading the updated package again

HI, I am building my site with your theme but the embedded video (player) crashes over 70% of the time, and thats just when i visit own my site (using chrome) On my friend’s computers using Firefox and other browsers, They report it is crashing 100% of the time rendering my site unusable..

Please fix this, it renders the theme completely useless for me if it crashes embedded video or player (the majority of my content) nearly every time. This is a such shame because i LOVE THIS THEME !! =( and bought it with high hopes.

Test it yourself? -Orlastian.com -Click on The Lilian Conquest on the left and then the only video in that category. If it DOES work refresh and it crashes my page for SURE . Also the homepage shows through at this point which is another weird bug Cause now you see the crashed page / player and the homepage =/ at the same time. -Sometimes it fixes it to start from the category all over again and try it fresh. This does not happen with any other theme, so its not my content… I’m not sure whats going on with yours but i really hope you get to the bottom of it. If i cant embed stuff then i simply cant use it at all =(

Sorry i should add the embedded player i use is from Blip.tv but your theme also crashes anything embedded from my Youtube channel etc…

Hello - I have purchased this theme but am running in to a few critical errors that are preventing me from deploying it.

First, it completely breaks any embedded videos I am using the plugin Viper’s Video Quicktags:

Second, NextGenGallery is not functioning like it used it. When you click on an image, instead of sitting on a new layer above the page, it simply load the image in the browser.

I am guessing there is a javascript conflict. Do you have any ideas where this may be happening? (BTW, all site caching is turned off when I am testing it.)

EDIT – I discovered the problem – a plug in I used to speed up CSS JS loading was causing problems: CSS -JS-Booster

Nevermind. Trial and error with code gets me places.

If anyone else wants to fix – under the “single post” php file – delete the “get_the_image” just under the timthumb info (fyi – do not delete the code after that; messes up the whole post and won’t display)

AdeTaylor: Im using the theme with WP3 and ran into only some minor issues which I was able to fix in the code (and I am not a programmer!) Hope that helps.

I purchased the theme, but I’m having trouble customizing it to my needs. For some reason my settings don’t save! For example:

1) If in Post custom settings at the bottom I enter a file name to show up in the home page slider, add description for it… and when I click “update” it all gets deleted!!!! So i can’t get any images for my homepage slider. Yes I have set the 777 permissions for cache folder.

2) The blog settings won’t save either! If i type anything in the “footer settings” and hit “save settings” everything I entered gets deleted when the page refreshes, and there are no changes to my site!!!! The same goes for Social Media settings, Main settings, etc…

Please help!

I’m having a problem with the way the menu is coded when i use Simple:press . If i go down to a forum, the forum name shows in the menu heading.

We are still working on the menu CSS but here is an illustration of the problem on the “Forum” menu element .

JerryZ provided this solution and it worked for me.

1. create a posts category called “slider” (or whatever)

2. create some posts assigned to the “slider” category

3. add an image as a featured image for posts in the “slider” category, and tweak the “title” of the image …

THE MISSING STEP TO MAKE THE SLIDER WORK ON THE HOME PAGE

4. Create a “page”, not a post, but a page, and assign it the “home page” template

5. Name the page “home” (or whatever), and save

6. Go to Settings > Reading and click the “A static page (select below)” and choose the page you just created in step 4 for the “Front Page”

Please send me the version of timthumb that does not compress the images. I try to optimise my images to be between 65kb and 100kb. I am sure this size is OK. A further reduction causes a lot of pixelation.
